New Release ยท Gally

Gally v2.3.0 is live

Recommendations, a new Search Usage dashboard, bulk import/export, and an official JS SDK. This release puts more merchandising control, and more data, directly in your hands.

Gally v2.3.0 is our biggest release of the year. It brings a full recommendations engine, a dedicated dashboard to see how shoppers actually search, faster bulk data operations, and a new developer SDK. Here’s what matters, in plain terms. For the complete technical changelog, fixes and pull requests, everything is on GitHub.

Recommendations, built in  PREMIUM

Recommendations now have their own space in the back office. Define a recommendation strategy, turn it into an auto-recommender, and it suggests products across the storefront automatically, all from a few simple screens. No custom development required to start cross-selling and surfacing related products.

A new Search Usage dashboard  PREMIUM

Gally can now capture how visitors search, browse and click across your storefront. A first Search Usage dashboard turns that into clear metrics for your merchandising team, right inside Gally. You finally see what people look for, what converts, and what comes back empty, without exporting anything.

Term suggestions from real searches  PREMIUM

That same visitor data powers a new term suggestion feature: Gally recommends search terms based on what people are actually typing on your store, so your suggestions stay grounded in real demand.

Bulk import & export  PREMIUM

Loading or extracting large sets of data now runs in the background from a dedicated back-office screen, instead of tying up the interface. This release already uses it for thesaurus dictionaries, with more use cases to come.

Search inside long facet lists

When a filter has a long list of values, shoppers can now type a few letters to instantly find the one they need, a brand, a colour, a size, instead of scrolling endlessly. A small change that removes real friction on large catalogs.

A new JavaScript SDK, for developers

Gally now ships an official JavaScript / TypeScript SDK: a ready-to-use toolkit to connect Gally to a new front end or a third-party platform, covering catalog sync, search, indexing and visitor tracking in one place. Building a custom storefront on Gally just got faster.

Before you upgrade

This release introduces a new cron Docker service (for background jobs and tracking) and requires a full reindex after upgrading. The full upgrade notes and breaking changes are detailed on GitHub.
